Are you architects, designers, urban planners, landscape architects from any of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe*?
Do you have a project (or more) that relate to the Trans(ap)parencies theme and has already been built starting with 2008 in this region?
Then, Arhitext design Foundation encourages you to participate in the open call for projects organized for the selection of the projects to be present in the Trans(ap)parencies Thematic Exhibition, from East Centric Architecture Triennale 2013.
The deadline for entering the open call for projects is April 11!
- The inclusion of the works in a thematic exhibition will reveal the conceptual side of the projects, making them part of critical discourse/dialogue and highlighting extra-formal connections.
- This thematic exhibition offers the practitioners a vision on the manner in which their works answer the needs and requests specific to the context of this region.
- The selected projects will also be included in the exhibition catalogue, conceived as an independent project. The catalogue will feature the projects selected for the exhibition, along with several theoretical and critical articles that will tackle a range of issues pertaining to current architecture in Central and Eastern European countries. * The texts will be signed by architecture theorists and critics in the region. The catalogue will be bilingual.
- The selected projects will be integrated in the regional architectural portal www.east-centricarch.eu, which is a reflection of the significant regional practice. It is the only regional architecture platform at present.
All projects must be submitted by 11 April 2013, at 11:59 pm, GMT+2, at the latest.
The curatorial board will select the projects that best meet the criteria of the open call (criteria that can be found in the Selection of Projects section, in the Regulations of the open call) to be included in the Trans(ap)parencies thematic exhibition.
