Architekt Kyong Park na VŠUP
Unikátní přednáška korejského architekta Kyong Park se uskuteční 9. 11. 2009 v 18:30 hodin na Vysoké škole uměleckoprůmyslové v Praze, místnost 115.

Biografie:
Kyong Park is associate professor at Department of Visual Arts in University of California San Diego, [from 2007] and the artistic director of Anyang Public Art Project 2010 in Anyang, South Korea [2009-2010]. He was the founding director of Centrala Foundation for Future Cities in Rotterdam [2005-2006], a co-curator for "Shrinking Cities" in Berlin [2002-2004], the founding director of International Center for Urban Ecology in Detroit [1999-2001], a curator of Kwangju Biennale in South Korea [1997], the founder/director of StoreFront for Art and Architecture in New York [1982-98]. "Kyong Park. The New Silk Roads," a solo exhibition on his nomadic urban exploration between Tokyo and Istanbul, is currently at Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Castilla y León in Spain, and a monograph titled" Kyong Park: Nomadic Practice," will be published by Actar in 2010. He has edited "Urban Ecology; Detroit and Beyond" published by MAP [2005], a book on his projects, including "24260: The Fugitive House," an abandoned house from Detroit that traveled to 11 cities in Europe, and his multi-channel videos on urban landscapes, issues and stories. He was a Loeb Fellow at Harvard University (1996/97) and a Visiting Chair of Urbanism at the University of Detroit Mercy (2000-2001). He has exhibited or curated in Kunst Werke [Berlin], Deichtorhallen [Hamburg], Kunsthaus Graz [Austria], Museum am Ostwall Dortmund [Germany], Archilab [France], Badischer Kunstverein [Germany], Orbis [London], Venice Biennale 2008, Nam Jun Paik Art Center [Seoul].
