Cecil Balmond successfully occupies multiple roles as artist, designer, architect, engineer, theoretician and writer. Blurring the boundaries between art and structure, Balmond has been highly influential in a raft of celebrated projects including Serpentine Gallery pavilions and London 2012 Olympic’s ArcelorMittal Orbit.
